Best Cheap Gray Hair Shampoo

My hair is older (60) very fine and limp. It's amazing for thickening and masking my scalp. It's a bit like spray paint for the hair. It makes my hair manageable after washing and makes styling a breeze. It will leave color on the scalp but I brush it with a toothbrush to even it out. I know it sounds strange but I love this stuff. I do suggest having a stylist who has worked with it before show you how to use it. It's the best "dirty hair" product I've ever tried. And it works as a dry hair shampoo too. Though I love the Ojon dry shampoo best.

It seems it is the only toning shampoo suitable for keratin treated hair (it doesn't contain sodium chloride). It doesn't dry out hair as some other toning shampoos do and it has enough blue pigment to tone down yellow tint. However it is not good enough to tone my highlights which are more orange colour.

My hair, even when it's not color-treated, is so dry it's crunchy. While making my way through high-end to low-end "moisturizing" hair products that didn't make a dent in my dryness, I got a sample of Alterna Caviar Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I didn't expect much of it--the scent was just okay (IMHO), and the consistency was like most shampoos and conditioners. But my hair was so soft and smooth. After straightening, I usually have flyaways and kinks. But after using Alterna, my hair was as smooth as baby hair. I've been using Alterna Caviar for several months now and I highly recommend this. The Rapid Repair Spray is also good. I've tried the Caviar Blonde, but it's not as moisturizing.

Three years ago we moved to a new house with well water. There is iron in our water and my hair started getting yellow. My hairdresser recommended Rene Furterer Okara Mild Silver Shampoo because of the de yellowing action. It works and it is a nice gentle shampoo.

I've only been using it for 2 weeks and I haven't seen any results.Manufacturer said it takes up to 6 months to see any noticeable difference.This shampoo has all the great ingredients that I've researched shown to prevent gray hair: hibiscus oil, catalase enzyme, fo ti, etc...Lets hope it works but so far it cleans very well, smells refreshing and leaves my hair soft and supple.

This is an excellent product. After using it, my hair feels like all of the dirt, gel, and everything else is out of it. Also, it uses a lot natural ingredients. It is worth the extra money over your average store brand.

It helps to keep my color vibrant and beautiful between colorings and it has a very pleasant fragrance. When I use it with the clove conditioner I have the shiniest, healthiest hair I could possible have. And no signs of gray, which is the best part.

Aveda blue malva really works, tones down any brassiness or yellowing in gray hair. Leaves a lovely shine. No animal testing!

I purchased this two weeks ago and haven't received it yet. Do not recommend using online to purchase this product.

I stopped coloring my hair about 6 months ago. I couldn't find a shampoo that treated my gray hair with the respect it deserves - until I found this shampoo. It smells great, keeps my hair soft and shiny. Nice. A little treat every morning in the shower. Thanks Biolage for taking care of the "seasoned" women out there who want our gray hair to shine and remain manageble.

LOVE THIS SHAMPOO!!! I am a double process (base color & highlights) color treated light blonde, and this shampoo REALLY helps to keep my color looking fresh and new in between salon visits! We have hard water and this product keeps the blonde color light without looking brassy or orange. Not to mention the rich lather it provides! If you have BLONDE or SILVER hair, this product is truly a must have! Amazon's price is the best!!!

This is the best products I have found for my dry, colored, rebellious hair. It has tame it as no other products I have tried (uncountable!). I used to suffer from the problem of having thick rebellious hair. Now, all my hair is gray, but colored, so the problem got worst until I found these products. I'm using all the line. It's quite expensive but it's been so worth it.

I just received this shampoo in the mail (ordered it along with the conditioner). Two weeks ago, I got my entire head bleached and toned a light ash blonde. My natural color is dark brown. Before bleaching it, I used a home highlighting kit (Loreal Frost and Design in Caramel -- highly recommend it if you're unsure about going blond), and had been using Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo to keep my highlights from looking gold/brassy.I continued to use Shimmer Lights after going completely blond, but it was making my hair completely dry, tangled, and it irritated my scalp. I alternated Shimmer Lights with Hair One by Sally Beauty Supply (Jojoba formula) to counteract the damage, but my hair was still very brassy and dry. So decided to try the Pravana Pure Light Sulfate-free Brightening Shampoo instead, and after one use I already love it. My hair is back to the cooler, ash-blond color I got two weeks ago. You can also see the lighter areas where I'd highlighted my hair before bleaching it.My only complaint is that it was very watery when I opened it, which I did not expect. But the texture and color reminds me of the toner that came with the Loreal highlighting kit, so I had a feeling it would work. Not only did the shampoo and conditioner leave my hair brighter and lighter, but my hair feels soft and my scalp is NOT irritated. I like the smell, too, because it's not too strong. I cannot keep touching my hair!I also use the WEN Cucumber Aloe Styling Creme after conditioning to detangle…

Great shampoo for white and gray hair - creates sparkles! Turns gray to silver. As for me, I'm not ready for white, gray or silver - I use B&B for warm brunettes...
